Prior to joining DDD, Chris was Vice President of Business Development
for C-Dilla Limited (a division of Macrovision Corporation), an
anti-piracy software provider servicing entertainment and business
software developers. Between 1991 and 1997, Chris was General Manager
and Vice President of Sales for Virtuality Inc., a virtual reality
3D technologies company with offices in Europe and North America.
Chris graduated from North Staffordshire University with an honors
degree in Information Systems.
Dr. Julien Flack, Chief Technology Officer
Julien joined DDD in September 2000 as Director
of Research and was promoted to Chief Technology Officer in October
2004. Julien has been responsible for much of the innovative image
analysis and research work that forms the basis for the Group’s
off-line and real-time 2D-to-3D image conversion technologies.
Prior to joining DDD, Julien was employed as a Research Scientist
at the Australian Commonwealth Science and Industrial Research
Organization (CSIRO) and was seconded for three years to the World
Geoscience Corporation where he focused on the commercialization
of cutting-edge data analysis algorithms for the mineral exploration
industry. Julien has a degree in Computer Science from Leeds University,
England and earned his Ph.D. from Curtin University, Perth, Western
Australia in 1995, the focus of which was the application of image
processing and computer vision techniques to the analysis of remotely
sensed images.
Nic Beames, Director of Content
Nic joined DDD in July 1999 as Product Manager and was promoted to his present position in July 2000. Nic manages all aspects of 3D content production, encoding and conversion for DDD’s customers.
He studied engineering at the University of Western Australia and fine art at Claremont School of Art. Prior to joining DDD, from 1996-1999 he was an executive of new media financier AME, then consultant to venture capital partners Allen and Buckeridge, where he looked after technology due dilligence for some 100 investments then valued at over $20M. In 2004 Nic was appointed member of the WA Government's ICT Industry Development Forum for a 3 year term.
Douglas Hunter, Vice President of Licensing
Douglas joined DDD in January 2004 and is primarily responsible
for licensing software and content to Asian-based consumer electronics
firms as well as the acquisition of content from the Hollywood
studio community.
Douglas’ previous experience includes
over 10 years in the entertainment business as a film producer
and consultant having worked with the major Hollywood studios
and various independent film companies. Prior to that, Douglas
spent five years in Tokyo, Japan working for Nippon Television,
Cyber Entertainment and Amano Electronics. Douglas has a BA
in Japanese, with an emphasis on International Business, from
the University of Michigan and earned his MBA from The Anderson
School at UCLA in 2003.
Robert Mannino, VP Professional Visualization
Solutions
Robert joined DDD in September 1999 as
the Operations Manager and was promoted to his current position
in February 2004.
Robert focuses on the professional and scientific uses of DDD's
products by developing strategic relationships with independent
software vendors. He also manages the reseller channels for
DDD product distribution.
Robert served as R&D Director for
two manufacturing companies and Vice President for a major banking
institution. Robert has a BS in Business Management Science
from California State University at Northridge.

Non-Executive Directors
Paul Kristensen, non-executive Chairman
Paul was appointed to the DDD Group plc Board in November 2001 and is the President of Capital Technologies Pty. Ltd., a venture capital firm in Australia. He has been a founding director and shareholder of a number of technology companies originating in Western Australia, including ERG Limited, Arbortech Pty. Ltd., Kinetic Limited and Structural Monitoring Systems Ltd., as well as the following companies where he remains on the Board of Directors: IQ Investments Ltd., Lumitex Ltd. and Corporate Venturing Pty. Ltd. He was appointed a non-executive director of DDD Inc. in May 1996 and became Chairman of DDD Group plc in May 2002.
Dr. Sanji Arisawa, non-executive Director
Sanji was appointed a non-executive director of DDD in March 2005. He has been the President & CEO of Tokyo Stock Exchange listed Arisawa Manufacturing Co., Ltd. since 1995. He is also the Chairman of Polatechno Company Ltd., one of the leading polariser companies in Japan, as well as the Chairman of Moxtek, Inc., a USA-based company. He is a member of the ATP Tour Inc. (Association of Tennis Professionals) council and obtained his Ph.D. in mathematics from North Carolina State University in 1973.
Nicholas Brigstocke, non-executive Director
Nick was appointed a non-executive director of DDD in November 2001. He retired in 2001 as Chairman of UK Equity Capital Markets at Credit Suisse First Boston (“CSFB”). He joined CSFB when it purchased Barclays de Zoete Wedd in January 1998, at which time he was Chairman and Managing Director of BZW’s UK corporate broking business. Prior to that he was head of equity sales and a member of the equity management committee at BZW. He is also a non-executive Director of Turbo Power Systems Inc., Azure Dynamics Corp., Bridgewell Group PLC, Healthcare Enterprise Group PLC, Inter Pipeline Fund and Chairman of Sentry Select UK Ltd.
Warren Littlefield, non-executive Director
Warren was appointed a non-executive director of DDD in November 2001. He was appointed to the DDD Inc. board in August 2001 and is the founder of The Littlefield Company, which is currently developing and producing television programming for the Touchstone Television division of The Walt Disney Company. Previously, he worked for NBC for 20 years in a number of capacities, including nine years as President of NBC Entertainment.
Hans Snook, non-executive Director
Hans was appointed a non-executive director of DDD in January 2006. He also currently serves on the Board of Directors of Healthsmart Limited, The Integrated Health Consultancy Ltd. and Sensophone Limited. Hans was the founder and Chief Executive of Orange and served on the board of the main holding company and two of its subsidiaries. He articulated the vision of a ‘wirefree future’ which has driven the branding, strategy and operation of Orange. Under Hans’ leadership, Orange launched on 28 April 1994 and had a profound impact on the mobile market in both the UK and globally. In March 1996, Orange listed on the London and NASDAQ exchanges and, in June of that year, became the youngest company to enter the FTSE 100. After a series of acquisitions, Hans continued as Chief Executive of the enlarged Orange group, leading it to flotation in February 2001, at which point he became Special Adviser to the group, a role from which he stepped down at the end of 2001. From 2002 until July 2005, Hans was non-executive Chairman of Carphone Warehouse Group PLC. From May 2005 to February 2007, Hans was non-executive Chairman of MonsterMob Group PLC, an AIM listed company that specialises in the sale of mobile phone entertainment content and services with operations in 20 countries and connectivity to 38 mobile network carriers.
